2018 Heritage Acton Music Series - Acton Town Hall Cenre

James Gordon In Concert

Join us on Saturday February 24th at 7:30 pm for an evening of songs preformed by James Gordon.

We are delighted to welcome James Gordon back to the Acton Town Hall.  We loved his performance in last year's Romancing the Song concert.  This year you will have a chance to experience Jame's unique song writing and style.  This beloved Canadian folksigner has entertained from more than 30 years.  In his early years in his hometown of Rockwood as the founder of Tamarack Trio to preforming in Great Britain, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and all across Canada and North America.  With his rich tenor voice, guitar, banjo and trumpet he has brought to life stories including everything from Canada's history to contemporary political satire, with passion, sensitivity, imagination and a fabulous sense of humour.

James was featured for 10 years on CBC's Basic Black and Ontario Morning shows and has won awards for many of his more than 35 recordings.  James continues to sing up a storm wherever he goes.

"Gordon does his country justice, and I suspect many of his songs may pass into tradition, which is high praise for a contemporary songwriter."  R.Warr, Sing Out
