A little vinyl goes a long way - Acton Town Hall Centre Vinyl Record Party is this Saturday

Creating a sense of community often comes from small fundraising actions like this event. While vinyl records might just look like collectibles to some, they embody history, nostalgia, and most importantly, opportunities for connection with each other.

Every time we run this event, our guests enjoy browsing through hundreds of albums courtesy of our DJ/Volunteer Board Member Kevin, appreciating the cover art up close, singing along with the lyric sheets, and even finding generational overlap. There is always a way to get young and old(er) in the Hall up and dancing by spinning a track from the Momma Mia soundtrack! Add in some newer pop, classic Canadiana, old time rock and roll & folk, and you certainly have a party. Just like hanging out in your friend's basement, but with a beautiful sprung dance floor, gorgeous setting, great sound system, and no dust bunnies under the couch.

Small (Dance?) Steps, Big Changes

Together, let’s celebrate the profound impact of these small things we can do that truly add up to a great deal in helping us preserve and operate Acton Town Hall Centre. Admission is $10 per person. We'll have some nibblies to snack on, and a cash bar (beer, wine, soft drinks). Feel free to bring your favourite vinyl for a spin if you wish. We hope you can make it out! Saturday April 26, 7-11 pm. All welcome, tickets at the door or online at www.actontownhallcentre.ca/upcoming-events

With our thanks,

Heritage Acton
